A philosophical book about life ... a journey of thought and mind.

The book catches attention with the fact, that there is a gorilla instead of an eastern meditation guru with long white beard. But a wise gorilla , who communicates with his students by changing thoughts.

The other main character, besides the monkey, is a man reading an ad in the newspaper: THE TEACHER is looking for a student. A serious desire to save the world is required. Appear in person.

The ad makes him feel different feelings, it looks childish, arrogant and silly. But in the end, the man decides to go to the named address. To his great surprise, there sits a big gorilla, who begins to communicate with the man by telepathy and tells him its biography - how he became such an intelligent animal, that can communicate and is named Ishmael.

As the gorilla had been tried to learn to speak from a teacher - one of his benefactors, but it was impossible due to the lack of appropriate speech organs, at one point, unable to say it to the man, the monkey thought with all his mental power. And his benefactor heard him, with thought. This is how the gorilla began to study, or rather continued learning, just on a new level, interacting with a person and learning from him, what one person knows about the world. Later, they continued to study together and later on separately, because the human had no more all the answers to give to the gorilla. When Ishmaels benefactor found a women in his life and she gave birth to a daughter, he made the monkey his daughter's teacher. The monkey was glad, that he could make his human friend such a pleasure. She became a brother, a pet, a teacher and a caretaker all at once. The girl's social life was a bit stuck as she was with the gorilla most of the time, but before her twentieth birthday she had a master's degree in biology.

When Ishmael's benefactor died in 1985, his daughter Rachel became the gorillas protector.

Ishmael told his student about Gods, about good and evil, justice, creation, rules, nations, survival, society, and different lifestyles and gave many colorful examples.

The work is philosophical and in many ways eye-catching, good to listen to it also while running.
