the Gaur is the Indian bison and if its protruding hump on its back is taken into account it is much larger than the American bison. They generally weigh between 1,430 and 2,200 lb. But sometimes large bulls can weigh up to nearly 3,300 lb. The cow however is lighter both in color and weight.
