Second hand clothes shops are really popular in Bulgaria, although people usually ashamed To admit that they buy their dresses in those kind of shops. This country is still fighting against the ghost of the Communist era, when everyone was obliged to be poor as the others and they had to find alternative(illegal) way to earn non only extra money but also food and clothing. In other cases is just a matter of status symbol: buy second hand clothes simply is not cool. Personally I adore those kind of shops: I love buy things with a story behind and, at the same time, recicle awesome clothes ( often you can find very strange things in those magic places). Moreover, recycling clothes is one of the many ways to help the environment and reduce waste of water and air pollution which are the invisible result of the industrial production. In this photo I'm wearing a sweater that my owner gave me: it came directly from a second hand shop, so now is like a " third hand sweater" , and I'm really proud of it!
