Muang Boran appena fuori Bangkok, è un museo all'aperto a Samut Prakan che copre 96 ettari o 240 acri con modelli in scala o repliche di antiche rovine della città e monumenti storici provenienti da varie parti della Thailandia.
I periodi di queste antiche rovine e monumenti coprono le epoche di Dvaravati, Srivichai, Lopburi, Lanna, Lan Chang, Sukhothai, U-tong, Ayuthaya, Thonburi e Rattanakosin.
Questo museo all'aperto conserva l'architettura, l'arte e la cultura del passato delle diverse regioni della Thailandia con rovine e monumenti situati in un'area a forma di mappa della Thailandia.
Sono state condotte ricerche approfondite per garantire l'autenticità nella ricostruzione di queste strutture. Dove gli originali furono distrutti, la ricostruzione si basava su documenti storici.
L'area a Muang Boran o nell'antica città copre 600 rai (96 ettari o 240 acri, 1 rai = 1.600 mq o 0,4 acri). Ci sono 116 modelli in scala o repliche di antiche rovine, monumenti, edifici e strutture che riassumono il patrimonio etnico e culturale della Thailandia. Muang Boran just outside Bangkok, is an outdoor museum in Samut Prakan covering 96 hectares or 240 acres with scaled models or replicas of ancient city ruins and historical monuments from various parts of Thailand.
The periods of these ancient ruins and monuments cover the Dvaravati, Srivichai, Lopburi, Lanna, Lan Chang, Sukhothai, U-tong, Ayuthaya, Thonburi and Rattanakosin eras.
This outdoor museum preserves the past architecture, art and culture of the different regions in Thailand with ruins and monuments located in an area in the shape of the map of Thailand.
Intensive research was done to ensure authenticity in the reconstruction of these structures. Where the originals were destroyed, reconstruction relied on historical records.
The area in Muang Boran or the Ancient City covers 600 rai (96 hectares or 240 acres, 1 rai = 1,600 sq m or 0.4 acres). There are 116 scaled models or replicas of ancient ruins, monuments, buildings and structures that sum up the ethnic and cultural heritage of Thailand. Some of the exhibitions are creative designs to symbolize religious beliefs and concepts.
The Ancient City offers a cross section of Thailand in one location that can be covered in a day.

Dal centro prendete lo Skytrain BTS uscite alla fermata Kheha. Prendete al volo un taxi aperto bianco, salite e vi porta a destinazione costa solo 10 bath da pagare al guidatore quando scendete, arrivate perfetti davanti all’entrata della Città Antica. From the center, take the BTS Skytrain to the Kheha stop. Take an open white taxi, go up and take you to your destination, it costs only 10 bath to pay the driver when you get off, you arrive perfect in front of the entrance to the Ancient City.
