Best of Nature
This bird is especially known to the general public for its ability to imitate the human voice, very developed in some specimens. This is one of the reasons behind their adoption for centuries as a pet. This success had disastrous consequences for many Psittacidae which have become rare in the wild. Species which are now protected are still victims of illegal capture or trafficking in eggs, despite information campaigns aimed at the European public.
