I can’t be quiet anymore about this, either. I feel so much rage in my heart. I watched that George Floyd video and part of me died, too. The way that white cop had his hand casually in his pocket while George cried out for his mama as he took his last breath of life, was the final straw for me. We have to do something to change the future.

George Perry Floyd Jr. (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) was an African-American man who was killed by police during an arrest in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020. Protests in response to both Floyd's death, and more broadly to police violence against black people, quickly spread across the United States and internationally.
