I wear a mask, and that mask is not to hide who I am,
but to create who I am.
Someone could say that I am getting obsessed with superheroes.
This is because, after some decades of completely ignoring their existence, out of the blue I started watching movies and reading comics on superheroes.
I do not like their fancy onesies (do superheroes know that the new trend is minimalism?), I do not like their environment (why cannot a superhero be based in a quiet countryside? After all Agatha Christie did teach us that crime is everywhere…) and I do not like the fact that they end up having a double identity (where are authenticity, transparency, spontaneity?).
So, where does my sudden ‘obsession’ come from?
Well, I am inspired by the story that they all have in common: they are ordinary people who, tapping into their values and their power, can navigate the extraordinary within the ordinary and contribute while being at their best. Like Batman says: ‘I wear a mask, and that mask is not to hide who I am, but to create who I am.’
Which aspect of yourself are you currently hiding, and you would like to bring into light to really create who you are?
