He that dwelleth in the hiding place of the Most High in the shadow of the Almighty shall rest. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my God, my refuge, my fortress, and I will trust in him. 3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the evil plague. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and you will trust under his wings. his truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow that flies by day. 6 Neither the plague that walketh in the darkness, nor the death that ravages at noon. 7 Thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but shall not come unto thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked. 9 For you, O Lord, are my refuge. In the Most High thou hast made thy dwelling. 10 No evil shall come upon you, neither shall any plague come to your tent. 11 For he will give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They will support you in their hands, so that you will not stumble with your foot in stone. 13 Thou shalt tread the lion and the snake; Thou shalt tread down the lion's son and the serpent. 14 Because he loved me so dearly, I will deliver him also; I will set him on high, because he has known my name. 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will remove it from it, and glorify it. 16 I will satisfy him with the length of days, and show him my salvation.
