I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. MEMORISE: And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure (2 Corinthians 12:7) EXPOSITION Today is International Biodiesel day, and so let God help us to draw some lessons from geography. Aridity is a state of dryness or unproductiveness noticed in space, land and human. An arid land is an unproductive land, the Sahara is arid and therefore a waste! Taking us wider into the histo-geography of the land of Canaan, God revealed that the Promised land is a land flowing with milk and honey (Exo. 13:5). He later revealed in Psalm 104:13-15: He waters the hills from His upper chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth, and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man’s heart. Nevertheless, God allowed a place, a space, a portion of the land of Canaan to be different, in terms of richness, to communicate a message to us: there is no life, without a besetting problem. There was a portion of the land that knew no grace of the milk and honey - the area enveloping the Dead Sea! A portion that was so dry that no living thing could cross it without dying of suffocation! That portion is called JESHIMON. Every person carries his or her ‘Jeshimon’, i.e. a trouble area of life, like that of Apostle Paul (2 Cor. 12:1-10). What is your Jeshimon? To get over, or through it unhurt, without failing or falling, submit it to Jesus, in prayers, now! PRAYER POINTS 1. Lord Jesus, please, deliver me from my trouble areas. 2. Lord Jesus, never allow my life to be shortened by my “Jeshimon’ 3. LIVING WATER🌊 📆 Thursday, August 8, 2019 - UNIVERSAL AND INTERNATIONAL INFINITY DAY BELIEVE IN THE GOD OF GRACE READ: Hebrews 4:14-16 Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. MEMORISE: Let us therefore come bodly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace in time of need (Heb 4:16) EXPOSITION Are you like many today who believe in a “religious” God? Do you believe that God is against you when you fall short, that He is angry with you when you fail, and that fellowship with Him is cut off when you make mistakes? It is no wonder then that instead of running to the one true solution, many sincere folks run in the opposite direction when they are hurting. So, there is a great deception, a powerful, wrong belief about God that has trapped many in the vicious cycle of condemnation, guilt, fear, defeat, and addiction. Dearly beloved, God is God of infinite grace. He is repugnant to the “religious”, but gracious to the hurting. No matter what you are going through now, whatever addictions may be binding you, believing right can, and will set you free. Start with believing this powerful truth: God is the God of grace and forgiveness. He loves you very much, and doesn’t hold your mistakes against you, most especially, when you have confessed and forsaken them. Don’t let the mistakes you made in the past hold you back from reaching out to God and receiving His forgiveness for all your failures. Begin to believe right about the Lord, believe right about His heart and love for you, and your entire life will be transformed. Right believing always leads to right living. PRAYER POINTS 1. O Lord, help me to run to You whenever I fail and feel discouraged, in Jesus name. 2. O Lord, keep caring for me, when I am hurting and supply my needs in every situation, in Jesus' name. 2. Pray for as many as possible brothers/ sisters/ministers around you who spiritually fell in a way or the other, that the God of grace should restore them, speedily.
