Studying the adagio of Haydn's sonata Hob XVI/24 I was inspired to make this short video, in which I talk about Haydn's Time, about my father Sigiswald Kuijken and what it means for me to play together with him. In any setting, whether playing with him in Duo for Mozarts violinsonatas (see below), or joining his orchestra La Petite Bande as a singer, a fortepianist, or joining it as stage director for opera productions: the essence of what happens is always the same.
