HALABJA, IRAQ - MARCH 2008.Twenty years after the chemical weapons attack on the city by Saddam Hussein’s air force. The official death toll for March 16, 1988, was 5000, but tens of thousands more were contaminated and injured. The Martyrs’ Cemetery has 1 086 tombstones commemorating the victims.
