How to keep using Adobe Flash Player in 2021 after its end of life
TONS of contents on the web will be lost forever without Flash. But I found a workaround!
Starting from the 01/01/2020 Adobe Flash Player is officially dead.
You can't use it anymore.
You can't install it again at all.
What is Flash
Flash Player is a plugin that runs on web pages from web pages from 1996 and during the years we've seen TONS of contents made with flash: animation, videogames and interactive elements. Losing them forever would be a shame!
(TIP: You can find some hidden gems between the countless flash games on the web ;) )
The use of Flash Player was already discouraged in last years, the natural evolution of Flash is HTML5 which is more safe and, from my test on old hardware it seems that it offers better performance too.
Flash is not with us anymore
Today I wanted to play a good old flash game online but I noticed that my Opera browser didn't allow me to run the Flash plugin...
No problem, I downloaded the latest installer for Windows, but the installer refuses to download anything from Adobe servers.

How to resurrect Flash!
I downloaded an alternative installer that already has files inside it (it does not download anything during installation), I installed it and I rebooted my browser.
It works.

- For Internet Explorer (32Bit & 64 bit) Download EXE Installer
- For Firefox Browser (32Bit & 64 bit) Download EXE Installer
- For Chrome and Opera Browser (32Bit & 64 bit) Download Exe Installer
For Mac OS X (Intel)
- Adobe Flash Player Mac for Safari and Firefox
- Adobe Flash Player Mac for Opera and Chromium-based browsers
Warnings:
- These installers don't come from Adobe servers but from an external website, so someone could have decompiled them and inserted malwares in it... Anyway I scanned the "Chrome and Opera Browser (32Bit & 64 bit)" installer with 40 different anti virus softwares and none of them detected threats.
- The usage of Flash itself in 2021 is heavily discouraged for security reasons: it's not updated anymore! If you install it you understand the risks!
Let's appreciate and preserve Flash for the future!
