ROOTS OF FAITH

Roots make a plant strong. They sink deep down in the soil, seeking out water and nutrients the plant needs to grow. When storms come, those deep roots keep the plant anchored safely in the ground.

In many ways, the Word of God is like the roots of your faith, and your heart is the soil. As you read from the Bible everyday, the roots of your faith grow stronger. When your heart is soft and you want to learn about God, then His Word is able to sink deep down inside you. It will fill you with the living water of Jesus and the nutrients of His love, joy and peace - everything you need to grow in your faith. And when the storms of life come, you'll be safely anchored in Him - because the roots of your faith run deep.
